Hey guys, I bought a bunch of Biotique products about a month back and have been testing them out ever since. Today lets talk about the Biotique Bio Peach Clarifying & Refining Peel Off Mask Review, Demo. I started using peel off masks in college when my room mate introduced me to one. Since then, I have loved how easy and effective they are. Biotique claims to be a 100% organic brand so I thought to give this one a try. Again, it said it has peach in it. The entire world is going crazy after peach things right now like Kylie’s Peach Palette, Too Faced sweet peach eyeshadow palette, peach highlighters and what not. So I thought why not try peach in skin care 😀 Let’s explore more and learn about my experience with this product below.

In Detail Biotique Bio Peach Clarifying & Refining Peel Off Mask Review, Demo and My Experience
The peel off mask comes in a basic white coloured tub packaging with a deep green coloured screw lid on top. The product details are mentioned on the outer carton box and not on the product itself. Usually, whenever I use the mask, some of it sticks to the edges and in some time dries out. Its very likely to stick around the mouth of the tub because of its dripping consistency. Overall I find the packaging quite messy to be honest.
Its a dripping gel-cream cranberry coloured product. It looks really pretty in the tub. However as soon as I take my nose near it, I can smell this extremely strong minty alcoholic scent. I mean seriously biotique? None of the ingredient mentioned on the packaging is known to have such a smell. So where exactly did this smell come from. This honestly makes me wonder if they have mentioned all the ingredients for real on the packaging.
How I Use it
I always wash my face with water at least before using any mask or skin care of such sort. I apply an even layer of the mask all over my facial skin with my finger. Now remember that you have to be very careful while applying this mask. Firstly, it has a dripping consistency, so make sure you’re not in your favourite clothes. Secondly, while applying this, the really strong smell really stings. I mean personally, my nose gets saturated with this strong smell and in fact my eyes get red because of it. I am 100% sure that there is a strong volatile ingredient similar to alcohol in this product but hasn’t been mentioned on the packaging.
It tingles on the skin for around 7 minutes after which the tingling sensation is gone. In fact the smell reduces to 10% of its initial intensity by now. As the mask dries, I can feel it on my skin. It takes around 20 minutes to dry. It may take longer or shorter time depending on the humidity levels near you.
I peel it off gently. While peeling it off, I can smell some peaches! Usually there are small bits left after peeling it off which can be very well washed away with water.
Immediately after removing this mask, my skin feels super soft to touch. I mean literally very soft and smooth. My skin definitely appears more glowy and bright. It gets rid of all superficial dead skin cells which provides such visible results. Also, I have noticed it helps reduce tanning over a period of time.
So on the brighter side, this product shows visible results after every use. However the application part is a little messy and a lot irritating by its strong smell. At the same time, when the volatile substance hits the mucosa of the eyes, my eyes become red. But all this calms down in 7-10 minutes.
Overall I would say this is an okay product to try. I don’t really recommend it because of the smell and sting. In fact, absolutely stay away from it if you have sensitive skin. For me it does show visible results but I wouldn’t buy it again. There are better peel off masks available. Most importantly, always do a patch test before applying it all over your face since it does have this strong volatile ingredient that they haven’t mentioned on the packaging I feel.

CONs of Biotique Bio Peach Clarifying & Refining Peel Off Mask
1. Extremely strong smell.
2. Has a volatile substance which stings my eyes when I apply it.
3. Messy packaging and messy to work with.
4. Not at all fit for sensitive skin ladies.
1. Mandatorily do a patch test before using this product.
2. Although this does not dry out this skin, I still advise using a moisturiser after using this.
3. Peel off masks are meant to remove superficial dead skin cells and there are plenty available out there. So if you have sensitive skin, skip this and try something which is more mild.
4. Make sure not to apply this around your eye area.
(Although it shows results, the smell and sting destroy its reputation)
