Oh wait, this is a shampoo + conditioner. Let me give you a little spoiler, its actually true to its name. I have been using this Biotique for over 2 months now. This product is actually an example how good things need not always be super expensive. So without further ado, let us start with the review.

Apply liberally to wet hair and work lather through strands, from scalp to ends. Rinse well with water.

In Detail Biotique Bio Green Apple Fresh Daily Purifying Shampoo & Conditioner Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Biotique green apple shampoo comes in a translucent plastic bottle with a screw open top. However what I have is the old packaging. Their new packaging is actually quite different. The new bottle is not round. New bottle actually has a flip open top which is great. I like everything about the packaging except for the fact that the complete ingredients list is missing. :/

The product is green in colour. It smells very fresh, I do get hints of fresh green apples as well. It has moderate to slightly runny consistency.

How I Use it

I take approximately a large coin sized amount and work it through my wet hair. Please note, you might need lesser amount if you have short hair. The shampoo lathers very well. So I very gently massage my scalp with it for a couple of minutes. Then wash it off with normal temperature water.

Effects

The shampoo works on my hair really nicely. I have dry, frizz prone hair right now and biotique green apple shampoo actually helps control the dryness. I usually always use a conditioner after shampoo because otherwise my hair becomes very dry. However with this shampoo, I can pretty much skip a conditioner. It is surprising how it does not leave my hair needing a conditioner. It cleanses my hair nicely. Also, my hair feel very soft.

Honestly, I haven’t had such good results with some of very expensive shampoos so far. It never gave increased hair fall or any sort of such bad effects. If I use it on oiled hair, I do to use a little more shampoo, but it is able to effectively cleanse my hair. I absolutely love how fresh it makes my hair feel.

Overall Verdict

So ladies and gentlemen, we have found an inexpensive alternative to some very expensive hair cleansers out there. It works amazingly and does not cause hair fall. It is natural and has some great botanical ingredients.

However, the only sad part is, Biotique fails to give us full information about all the ingredients in this shampoo. The say on the label that the shampoo “contains” and mention all the natural ingredients. There is absolutely no mention of the other ingredients that are in there. So, this is something I strongly urge the company to improve upon. Otherwise I really like the results of this shampoo plus conditioner.

1. The company is being shady as anything when they say this product contains 100% natural botanical ingredients. Well, what they are implying is, this does contain all that good stuff, but that’s not all what it contains. The company cleverly decided not to put a detailed ingredients list. Its not on the label. Even on their website, the complete list isn’t available.

1. Although this shampoo says that its safe enough to be used every single day. I advise against that. Unless you really need it, you should your hair at least every other day.
2. If you have really dry hair, you can always follow this up with a hydrating conditioner.
3. Never comb wet hair. If you do, it leads to breakage and increase in hair fall.
4. Biotique is often available on discounts. Check out amazon or nykaa. You can also shop at their website directly I guess.
